'It's a Small World After All' celebrates the realm of tiny creatures, such as bees, butterflies, beetles, insects, and bugs.
After years of photographing nature for the project 'Nature within Ten Miles of your House (Ashford, Kent),'
I dedicated 2024-2026 to macro photography.
Macro photography involves capturing images at high magnifications, often using a specialized macro lens for detailed, close-up shots. Exploring the Ashford area, I found this endeavor incredibly rewarding, and the nature captured complements my other photography beautifully.
Spending time in nature, especially during this last project, reaffirms my long-held belief that humans are an integral part of nature, interconnected and dependent on the world around us. We share many goals and desires with species of all sizes and should strive to preserve natural environments so that all species have equal opportunities to reach their full potential. Plus, these creatures are absolutely fascinating!
