The Connor Contemporary's pledge to dog rescue charity Fetcher Dog
My daughter Jordan and her mother co-founded Fetcher Dog, a dog rescue center and charity,
( www.fetcherdog.com ) almost ten years ago.
The charity's mission is to reduce the suffering of street dogs in Bosnia and later in the UK.
Since its inception, the charity has rescued and found homes for over 1000 dogs from the UK and Bosnia, which is a remarkable accomplishment for an organisation with only 4 staff members.

When time allows I volunteer, some of my volunteer tasks are:
- Centre upkeep: clearing rubbish, washing and drying bowls, keeping floors spotless, and making sure fresh blankets are always ready and close to the kennels.
And when the cleaning is done, I swap mop buckets for keyboards:
- I create website updates and our monthly newsletter, sharing heart-warming stories, new arrivals, and happy endings from the centre.
Our pledge to Fetcher Dog
Connor Contemporary is committed to giving 10% of all gallery sales profits to Fetcher Dog to support their monthly operational expenses.
The current total is £125, let's aim for £1000!
Continue to donate my time and skills to this charity whenever possible, including kennel cleaning, news reporting, and newsletter production.

Fetcher Dog Overview
Hundreds of dogs are abandoned at home and abroad every day.
The cost-of-living crisis has increased this exponentially and dogs need our help now more than ever. We rescue dogs from U.K. pounds, the streets and kill shelters of Bosnia and take local owner surrenders.
The U.K. pounds are currently bursting with dogs that are looking for safe spaces to go. After 7 days in a pound, the dogs are put to sleep if a rescue space isn't found and we take as many of these dogs as we can and provide them with a chance of a happy and full life. We are also in contact with several local dog wardens, Kent Police and our local council and are called upon to help dogs that they find on a regular basis.
We started this charity to help dogs in Bosnia and that is where at least half of our rescue mission takes place. Thousands of dogs are born on the streets of Bosnia every year, condemned to face cruel acts by locals, starvation, disease and brutal and inhumane deaths.
