Maya, Man, Murals - In search of street art, a trip to Margate!

ree

Maya and I went to Margate in Kent to check out some of the vast array of street art there, got a little side-tracked and tired so we can only show the limited amount we saw.
We did, however find some artists that we will cover in anther blog.

Margate is teaming with art and has at least ten major murals around the town, we tracked down this one by Smug, which is absolutely stunning!

You cannot take Maya to see any art without her getting treats, in this case a pupa chino from the station and, as she is getting older, plenty of rest and water breaks.
We did get some good shots of street art though.

Margate is a vibrant town, full of art galleries, coffee shops and of course The Turner Contemporary Art Gallery and the beach so is definitely worth a visit. There are also traditional seaside go-to's such as arcades.

We took the trip from Ashford to Margate, with easy links by train, the galleries and coffee shops were all dog friendly, so worth a visit just for the art!
