About the Artist
Alexandra Gallagher is an award-winning British multidisciplinary artist who creates striking works that span collage, street art, prints, painting, and mixed media. Her art celebrates the surreal and sublime, delving into the realms of memory, dreams, and imagination. With a strong focus on feminist narratives, Gallagher’s work weaves layers of rich symbolism to tell intricate, surrealist stories that explore inner thoughts, emotions, and societal experiences.

Each piece evolves unpredictably, guided by a fluid and organic creative process. www.alexandragallagherart.com/about-alexandra-gallagher

What is a giclée print?
A giclée print is a high-quality, archival printing process that uses pigment-based inks and high-resolution printers. It is often used for fine art reproductions and photographs, producing gallery-worthy prints with vibrant colours and sharp details.

Giclée prints are created by spraying millions of microscopic dots of ink onto specially treated archival paper.

They are sought after by artists, galleries, and collectors for their unmatched standard of digital reproduction and archival longevity.

How long will giclee prints last?
If properly cared for by the owner, a giclee print will last approx. 100 years without significant fading. If your giclee print is framed and hung in a location outside of direct sunlight, it can last even longer.

What are they worth?

Giclee prints are expensive because the technology and materials used to create these prints are expensive.

Additionally, the process itself is painstakingly slow: most giclée's are produced one or two at a time.

Reproductions produced by lithography are produced hundreds at a time on high-speed presses.

Though giclee prints aren’t as valuable as original pieces of art, they have allowed artists to disseminate their works to a larger audience, making them very valuable.
