Shogun Toyotomi Hideyoshi - Impressive woodblock of the Shogun Toyotomi Hideyoshi) receiving a messenger from the Mouri family. Hideyoshi is seated on a spotted deerskin wearing a fabulous peacock feather printed robe, the message on the floor before him. The old messenger kneels respectfully before him. A fascinating Yoshitoshi image with incredible detail, including touches of burnishing on the armour and the black lacquer edge of the folding screen at upper right.
