'A personal journey with nature' by Paul Connor

In the last four years I have spent approx 4500 hours walking, approx 2500 hours processing photographs, 2500 hours uploading photograph's and information to social media and walked approx 15000 miles in all weathers, around all terrain and over all obstacles.

‘Phew’   And for what? - (700000 photographs)

Hmmmm, lets see!!

70000 photographs, no, that does not begin to cover the positive benefits of spending time in nature and experiencing and sharing the lives of other species even though at a distance and as an observer.

700000 photographs do not begin to express the joy of sharing this planet with some incredible species, performing some mind-blowing feats in a plethora of creative ways.

700000 photographs do not begin to cover the contentment of achieved goals.

700000 photographs do not come close to the information I have gained and the appreciation and admiration I have for all sentient beings.

70000 photographs do not begin to describe the interconnectedness I feel to all living beings and the fact that all beings on this planet are dependant and interconnected and all play an equal and vital role

So is approx 4500 hours walking, approx 2500 hours processing photographs, 2500 hours uploading photograph's and information to social media and walking approx 15000 miles in all weathers, around all terrain and over all obstacles time badly spent?
No, The human species are a part of nature and it is a privilege to share that journey with and as a part of nature.

Please note - Photographs are a hard copy and diluted version of a soft copy and dynamic event and those 70000 photographs are a memory for me and research material for others, but those photographs are my life and more importantly reflect a moment in time of the planet and captures a moment in time of another sentient beings life and will never be replicated or repeated and a photograph cannot truly represent the full range of senses utilised in that moment.

This is my story, what's yours?
