I spent the day volunteering for Fetcher Dog attending the West End Woofs annual event.

Over the weekend I volunteered for local dog rescue centre Fetcher Dog as they attended the third, annual, rescue dog event at St Paul's church in Covent Garden in London.

The charity was set up by Elaine Paige and Bernadette Peters and they recently wrote:
“When Bernadette and I first presented West End Woofs! online it was such a success! We raised money and awareness for many shelters caring for animals in need of adoption.  Here’s hoping this year’s West End Woofs is even more successful for our neediest four-legged friends!"
Elaine Paige
“Nothing thrills me more than to be doing West End Woofs ‘live’ for the first time at St. Paul’s Actors Church with my dear friend Elaine Paige and my cast members from ‘Old Friends’.  Looking forward to finding many dogs and kitties their forever homes”.

I spent the day with Daphne and she was such a joy to be with and really good with all the dogs and humans which is a compliment as it was a hectic event in a new environment and we do not know her history.
She also featured, on stage, in one of the West End Theatre numbers, she was quite the star!!

A little about Daphne:
Daphne is such a loving and gentle girl and is a typical hound in temperament. She is super friendly and is so excited any time she sees any of us. She loves affection. Daphne also loves to run around our field and gets the major zoomies every time she comes out to play. Daphne has been great with the other dogs at the centre and at the pound.

You can find more about the great work that Fetcher Dog do at - www.fetcherdog.com

We also took Daphne around Covent Gardens, to say hello to the locals!!
Thanks go to Fetcher Dog, Daphne and everyone at West End Woofs for a great day for a great cause.
