Biography
Sandra de la Cruz studied telecommunication engineering, but has always had a clear passion for drawing and the arts, that was instilled in her when she was still a child.
She learnt how to express her emotions through art on her own.
She has made exhibitions, collectively and also individually, in different showrooms and “concept stores”, always revealing a personal and intimate work.
She has never put aside either the experimental side of her art with new techniques and themes, or her own personal projects.'
Sandra writes:
'I am inspired by feelings, poetry, and intimate experiences. I like to use complimentary qualities, simple but direct, the elegant and subtle. Although I also play around a lot with opposites: violence against love or sadness against beauty.'

'I have been an admirer and collector of Sandra's work for many years, I find her artwork hypnotic and beautiful in a very subtle way, the image above shows four stages of the human heart, which, for me, represents the heart and how it feels before, during and after a relationship.
Sandra draws the images and then finishes the art digitally, I find her work both aesthetically pleasing and, at times, emotionally challenging.
The Connor Contemporary has over twenty limited edition prints and originals, many framed, of the work of Sandra De La Cruz and I am looking forward to seeing more of Sandra's work in the future'
